DISPERBYK-2000

DISPERBYK 2000 is a wetting and dispersing additive that stabilizes pigments. It prevents reflocculation of pigments even when other additives are added later. DISPERBYK 2000 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization and uniform electrical charge generation between pigment particles. This repulsion effect and steric stabilization prevents coflocculation leading to non-floating coloring in pigment blends. As a result of small pigment particle size achieved, products show high gloss, improved color strength, increased transparency in transparent pigments and better hiding power in opaque pigments. DISPERBYK 2000 also significantly improves jetness of carbon blacks. It reduces viscosity improving leveling properties and allowing higher pigment loading. Particularly suitable for applications requiring these benefits, DISPERBYK 2000 delivers outstanding dispersion results without needing other additives in initial grinding.
