BYK-3400

BYK-3400 is a silicone-containing substrate wetting additive that reduces the surface tension in aqueous formulations. BYK-3400 provides good substrate wetting and leveling without increasing surface slip. It causes a considerable reduction in the surface tension, especially improving wetting of critical substrates. BYK-3400 only marginally, if at all, stabilizes foam and does not impair recoatability or subsequent layer application. It is recommended for use in aqueous systems where improved substrate coverage and adhesion is required.
