BYK-C 8014

BYK-C 8014 is a solvent-free, polymeric coupling agent that increases the mechanical strength of carbon-fiber-reinforced radical curing systems. It is recommended for thickened vinyl ester resins. BYK-C 8014 has been specially developed for use in carbon-fiber-reinforced systems. It improves the mechanical properties of the finished component through increased fiber-matrix bonding. The additive reduces the range of measurement dispersion, thereby improving measuring accuracy and consequently component quality. BYK-C 8014 significantly increases strength, especially in hot curing processes. It can be added to the resin or the paste. BYK-C 8014 usually has no effect on the system's reactivity. Testing the reactivity before production is recommended.
