Airkap 1 is a fully cured polyimide pressure sensitive tape used for high temperature lay-ups up to 399°C. Airkap 1 has a silicone adhesive coating to assist in holding down peel plies, breathers, vacuum bag pleats, thermocouples, etc. on high temperature cures, in an oven or autoclave. Airkap 1 will hold down the exposed edges of Thermalimide bagging film in order to insulate A800-3G high temperature sealant tape.
