BYK-325 N

BYK 325 N is a silicone-containing surface additive that improves leveling in solvent-borne formulations. BYK 325 N causes only a slight reduction in surface tension and prevents defects like 'ghosting' when recoating. It can be added at any stage of production as long as homogeneous dispersion is achieved. BYK 325 N is recommended for applications where a minor increase in surface slip and reduction in wiping marks is required without significantly affecting other properties. The additive also helps stabilize foam in certain systems.
