Aspanger Mica N, a white muscovite from Aspanger's Austrian resources, has a high aspect ratio and purity with a extremely low heavy metals content. It also has an excellent elasticity with good wetting properties and high whiteness. Aspanger Mica N improves material properties significantly in paints and varnish applications with improved adhesion, reduced permeability, reduced cracking and shrinkage, increased abrasion resistance, weathering resistance, and more. Main applications are for all water based systems, e.g. building paints and emulsions, renders, as well as anti-corrosion high-build coatings, industrial paints, and road-markings. Aspanger Mica N has a spec. surface (m²/g) of 10, an a oil absorption (g/100 g) of 31, and a loose bulk density (g/l) of 460.
