BYK-1681

BYK-1681 is an additive that significantly reduces the air void content in mineral-bound building material formulations. It lowers the dynamic surface tension, enhancing substrate wetting. In concrete additives, particularly PCE-based formulations, it can effectively reduce or prevent foam formation. This product is particularly suitable for high-alkaline building material formulations, where it serves to defoam mineral-bound formulations, diminish the foam formation tendency of plasticizers, and improve substrate wetting by decreasing the surface tension of silicate building material formulations.
