BYKJET-9171

BYKJET-9171 is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive for aqueous inks. It is a solution of an acrylic block copolymer with aminic pigment-affinic groups. BYKJET-9171 deflocculates pigments and stabilizes them by means of steric hindrance. The product is characterized by a very narrow molecular weight distribution leading to excellent stabilization of pigment dispersions. This results in increased gloss, optical density, transparency and/ or hiding power, and a considerably reduced millbase viscosity. The long-term storage stability of the pigment concentrate and the finished product is improved. BYKJET-9171 is particularly suitable for stabilizing organic pigments and disperse dyes. It greatly reduces the viscosity of the millbase, which enables a higher pigment content in pigment concentrates. A member of ALTANA BYKJET-9171 Data Sheet Issue 07/2017
